How you get to hit these squares will depend on the call out. In many bingo games that use the traditional number grid (see Free Blank Printable Bingo Card), the call out will be a number drawn from a lucky hat or other randomized lottery-type picker. You will have to cross out the number called when you find it in your bingo sheet. If you get five hits in a row, you call out “Bingo!” and you win that round. The goal of American bingo will traditionally call for 5 squares in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal row. The British/Australian bingo will traditionally feature 3 x 9 grids where your goal is to fill 1–3 complete horizontal rows.
This is a highly generalized version, and many specific rules may apply. Be open to the experience and however the rule-setter or game organizer decides to play the game. Thanks to all the variations you can find with these, you don’t have to stick with numbers or 5 in a row.
